Mary-Louise has been working as a facilitator, coach, trainer and programme designer for over 25 years with experience throughout the public and private sectors. For the past 14 years she has provided consultancy and bespoke facilitation for the Whitehall facility The Innovation Space for the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy Internal Consultancy.

Mary-Louise is an Associate Fellow of Oxford University’s Said Business School and is part of the visiting faculty for Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford University.

Having originally graduated from Cambridge University she worked as an actor for the National Theatre, in London’s West End and all over Europe and ran her own practice as a vocal coach.

Drawing on this experience and utilizing the skills developed as a professional performer she created her specialist personal impact and communication skills coaching. In this field she works both with groups and one to one helping senior executives hone their skills around both delivery style and content in order to maximise their effectiveness.

As an ICF accredited PCC executive coach she has over 2500 hours coaching senior executives from across the globe. She leads the coaching team for the Oxford MBA Programme, Education Training Foundation programmes and also works on Major Projects Leadership Academy, High Performance Leadership, Women Transforming Leadership, Diploma in Organisational Leadership and Advanced Management and Leadership Programmes. She also acts as lead coach on custom programmes for Astra Zeneca, Meltwater and Bearing Point.

She has designed and delivered a huge variety of theatre-based training interventions for clients around topics ranging from performance management issues, inclusion, bullying and harassment, difficult conversations and giving and receiving feedback.

Her specialist area of impact and communications has led her to work with a huge variety of clients including Marks and Spencer, Selfridge and Co, Roche Products, Fujitsu, Cadbury Schweppes, UBS, UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Home Office, UK Cabinet Office, Chanel.

As a facilitator Mary-Louise has worked with most Whitehall Departments including the Cabinet Office and has been involved with a huge variety of projects including over 200 programmes. She works with senior leaders across the sectors around policy, strategy, building teams andstakeholder engagement.

As a programme director she has designed and delivered Leadership and Policy Schools for Government and co-directs the highly thought of women’s leadership programmes for Razak School in Malaysia and Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science.

Mary-Louise also runs the popular creative team building workshops The Singing Workshop and The Bigger Picture.
